Overview
Tapco is a startup that allows you to share multiple pieces of information at once with a single tap on your smartphone.
The goal of this project was to identify what were the user needs and come up with the first interface for the app.
Background
Tapco’s digital business card app is a convenient tool for professionals to create and share their contact information in a digital format.
It had a small team of developers and business people, but no designers. I worked with them directly in order to create a product with a user friendly interface.
Wireframing the solution
I quickly mocked up some basic wireframes to gather feedback from Product, Engineering and the users on the overall layout and structure of the app.
Based on the above problems identified, I worked towards addressing these pains by coming up with potential solutions:
Reducing the number of steps to minimize time to completion
Users should be able to generate a QR code that can be scanned by other users to easily save their digital business card to their contacts.
Users should be able to customize their digital business cards with their own personal information and branding, including their name, job title, company, contact information, and a photo or logo.
Developing the designs
I designed detailed and accurate mockups in Figma to facilitate other members in reviewing the design. Below are all the final designs and workflows I made for the project.
